NBC Bay Area announces Welcome Home Olympians & Paralympians dinner event

2012 Welcome Home Olympians & Paralympians Dinner

You are cordially invited to join the Bay Area Sports Organizing Committee (BASOC), and the Northern California Olympians & Paralympians Alumni Chapter (NCOPA) at the Welcome Home Olympians & Paralympians Dinner to be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.

This dinner recognizes and honors the Northern California athletes and coaches of the 2016 Olympic & Paralympic Games in Rio and the athletes who competed in the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. The Welcome Home Olympians Dinner, a 28 year old Bay Area tradition, features a reception with autograph signing, a silent auction of Olympic memorabilia and other exciting items, followed by a fabulous dinner and celebration of our Region’s Olympic and Paralympic Athletes.

Raj Mathai, will include an Olympic highlights film, and awards presentation. The proceeds of this event will benefit the Northern California Olympians (NCOPA), an organization of Olympians & Paralympians from past and present teams who live and work in Northern California. The NCOPA offers fellowship to members of past and present Olympic & Paralympic teams, coordinates Olympian appearances at schools, community, and corporate events, maintains an athlete training & travel grant program and supports the active visible nationwide Olympian organization.
